This Jester Neighborhood Project showcases a complete renovation of a home.

The homeowner found us on Instagram and asked us to bid the job. She'd already designed the whole thing herself — and she'd done it well. What she needed wasn't a designer. She needed a builder who'd execute someone else's vision without quietly redesigning it along the way.

This project involved gutting the entire home down to the studs and updating every aspect of it, resulting in a stunning transformation. There once was a second staircase running straight through the kitchen. It ate the footprint, it broke up the room, and it was the reason the kitchen never felt like the center of the house. So we took it out. The kitchen opened up into the space that staircase had been holding hostage and upstairs, it freed a pocket of floor space on the second floor. Instead of framing it into a closet and forgetting about it, we put the laundry room there. One demo, two rooms gained.
